A bit about Lake Erie...

The smallest and shallowest of all the Great Lakes, Erie has a long and storied maritime history. It is known not only for its freshwater fishing fleet (say that 5 times fast!), and the world biosphere reserve of beautiful Long Point, but also for its ability to whip up a storm, resulting, in part, to the over 300 shipwrecks littering the bottom of Lake Erie. These web links can provide information about Lake Erie and what is hidden below the waterline:

A bit about Port Dover...

Port Dover, some say the ‘jewel’ of Norfolk County, is home to over 6000 people. Founded on fishing, Port Dover attracts pleasure boaters, sunbathers, and those who might want to indulge themselves with a foot-long and ice-cream and maybe a stroll down the pier to the lighthouse.
